Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy announced Monday afternoon that defensemen Torey Krug will miss Tuesday’s game, and potentially more, with an injury.
Krug left Sunday’s 3-2 shootout loss to Flyers early when he sustained an upper-body injury. Cassidy said that Krug will miss Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers, but is still being evaluated for a possible return this weekend.
Prior to his injury, Krug had been putting together a solid season. So far, he has accumulated two goals and 11 assists over 17 games played. Krug has also logged 350 minutes on ice so far this season, ranking third among all non-goalie Bruins players behind Charlie McAvoy and Zdeno Chara.
