TORONTO — Bruce Cassidy has solved a good number of the Bruins’ issues.
The Bruins have gone 12-4-0 since Cassidy replaced Claude Julien as coach. They have pumped 62 pucks into opposing nets. David Backes, who was so-so alongside David Krejci on the No. 2 line, has developed chemistry on the first line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.
But so far, Cassidy has been stumped by a question that Julien failed to answer as well: Who is best suited to be the No. 2 left wing?
