The Pride have arrived at Lake Placid. We are going to overreact and say game one was rust and nerves. Their second effort was a much better showing per expectations.

The first thing that has to be talked about is The Captain, Jillian Dempsey. Dempsey became the first player in NWHL history to hit 100 points with her second goal of the game. The was the first PP goal of the year for the Pride and sparked an explosion of three goals in the second period. Her reward? She will be back at work teaching elementary school remotely Monday morning, definitely going to have a fun story for her students.
