Recap: Bruins get pummeled in Winnipeg, 8-1

If tonight’s road trip-opening game in Winnipeg was considered a good test for the streaking Bruins, they’re heading on to Seattle with a shiny, red “F” on their report card.

The B’s got pasted by the Jets, losing 8-1 in a game that saw a (relatively) close 3-1 contest turned into a blowout by a five-goal Winnipeg third period.

Joe Sacco let Jeremy Swayman go the distance in this one, with Swayman allowing a career-high eight goals in the loss.

Mark Scheifele (2G-1A) and Kyle Connor (1G-2A) led the way for the Jets, who also got 23 saves from Connor Hellbuyck.
