The Edmonton Oilers got off to a fast start. The Bruins struggled to create offensive zone time, and Connor McDavid made them pay. He sped past Zdeno Chara like no one was there and put the puck past Halak for a 1-0 lead early.
Don’t worry. David Pastrnak is to the rescue. He made a phenomenal play to score a powerplay goal and tie the game at one.
The Bruins made the Oilers pay again with another powerplay goal by Brad Marchand this time.
Joakim Nordstrom then proved the haters wrong to extend the Bruins lead to 3-1.
