The Providence Bruins gained four points over the weekend to remain in the playoff picture in the AHL’s Eastern Conference. However, before the weekend started, the team trekked all the way to Laval last Wednesday, where they picked up a point in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Rocket. Here is a recap of the weekend’s games.

Peter Cehlarik’s 12th goal of the season gave the P-Bruins a 1-0 lead at the end of the first, and that score held until Jordan Szwarz added an empty-netter in the third to seal a 2-0 victory.
