The Providence Bruins pulled off an outstanding triple overtime win over the Hartford Wolf Pack tonight. With the 2-1 win, the P-Bruins take a 2-1 lead over Hartford in their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal match-up. This only the second time the P-Bruins have taken a game to triple overtime. (The P-Bruins won the Calder Cup in 1999 with their last triple overtime win.)
This was the longest game played in the history of the Providence Bruins organization, and it lasted one hundred and two minutes.
It was a rough physical game by both sides. Matt Lindblad, Chris Casto, and David Pastrnak all left the game with injuries during tonight’s game.
