The Bruins announced this afternoon that forward Paul Carey has been assigned to Providence, ending his brief NHL stint.
Carey appeared in two games with the Bruins, but didn’t record a point. He looked pretty good in his first game, but was lost in the shuffle a bit more in the second.
With David Pastrnak’s return and the pending return of Marcus Johansson, there simply wasn’t room left on the roster for Carey.
He may be called back up as a Black Ace once the playoffs start, or in the event of (KNOCK ON WOOD) another injury.
