Patrice Bergeron lived through front office turmoil before.
As a young Bruin in the 2005-06 season, he saw captain Joe Thornton get traded and general manager Mike O’Connell get fired. After that season, he watched Peter Chiarelli get hired, coach Mike Sullivan get fired, new coach Dave Lewis get hired and then fired after one season before Claude Julien was hired in 2007.
The following eight years of relative stability with both Chiarelli and Julien running the show has been an NHL anomaly.
So with the Bruins in the midst of another upheaval — Chiarelli was fired a week ago, Julien could be next whenever a new GM is hired — Bergeron sounded like wise old mobster Hyman Roth in “The Godfather: Part II.
