Patrice Bergeron missed Wednesday’s morning skate prior to the Bruins’ matchup with the Flyers. At the time, Claude Julien said his status was to be determined for personal reasons.
Well, we now know the reason thanks to Cam Neely’s weekly appearance on Felger and Mazz. The Bruins President confirmed that Bergeron became a new dad after the birth of his first son, Zack, earlier in the day. Neely also confirmed that the B’s assistant captain will suit up tonight at TD Garden as the Bruins look for their third win in a row.
Through five games, Bergeron is third on the team in points with five to go along with his three goals, good for second.
