Pat Maroon made his Bruins debut just in time for the postseason.
The three-time Stanley Cup winner, who came to Boston in a pre-deadline trade in March, started at right wing for Saturday’s 6-4 victory versus the Penguins.
Maroon, who turns 36 on April 23, underwent back surgery just over nine weeks ago. His recovery has gone according to plan, with the former Minnesota Wild player expressing his gratitude to the Bruins training staff.
“They’ve been really good with me. I can’t thank the staff enough here. They’ve been really patient with me, doing all the right things to make sure I’m 100 percent and back to where I finished off.
