The Providence Bruins announced this afternoon that defenseman Josiah Didier has been chose as the first recipient of the Colby Cave Memorial Award.
The award is given to a P-Bruin for his "dedication to the community and charitable organizations."
Didier was chosen as the winner by his Providence teammates.
The 28-year-old Didier has spent the past two seasons with Providence.
In a press release, two P-Bruins explained why Didier was a deserving winner.
From Zach Senyshyn:
“Colby was one of my best friends and best teammates I ever had, but it really was the stuff he did in the community, and the way he was able to touch everyone’s lives around him.
