The new year is just around the corner, and for many of us it marks a fresh start. We can turn a page as a person, try to mature emotionally, or pledge to start something we've been planning for a long time. We can resolve to be different, and we can buy different calendars, but the things we do are still the same. This goes for NHL players especially, who are roughly half-way through the 2018-19 season. Despite the fact that they're knee-deep in hockey there's no reason players, teams, and team management can't pledge to be different, play different, or strive toward a new outcome.
