The Bruins will play 11 nationally televised NHL games in the upcoming season, highlighted by the Winter Classic on Jan. 1, 2016, when the field at Gillette Stadium will hold an outdoor rink for a matchup against the rival Montreal Canadiens on NBC.
Another highlight on the TV schedule released yesterday is a Friday, Nov. 27, game at the Garden against the New York Rangers as the opener of NBC’s Discover NHL Thanksgiving Showdown. The 11 national TV games will be broadcast on NBC or NBC Sports Network, and NESN will air all remaining games.
The final national TV game for the B’s will be played on Sunday, April 3, at the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks.
