Tuesday is upon us, and yesterday brought the news that one Bruin is moving on to a new team: Joakim Nordstrom signed a one-year, $700,000 deal with the Flames.
It’s no surprise, as Don Sweeney essentially said earlier this offseason that the team wouldn’t be bringing him back, with cap space at a premium and other options available.
It’s not terrible value for the Flames. While Nordstrom isn’t going to be a game-changer, he has his moments where he makes a pretty positive three-zone impact. Not bad for a league-minimum salary.
