It is Wednesday, my dudes.
The NHL had its first inevitability of the 2021 season last night, as the Nashville Predators vs. Carolina Hurricanes game was postponed due to COVID-19.
(You could argue that the Dallas Stars were actually the first inevitability, but they never actually got started. Semantics.)
Per our pals at Canes Country, five players on the Hurricanes have been placed on the NHL’s COVID list.
As you may remember, the NHL’s summer bubble went off without a hitch, with no COVID-related hiccups.
However, that was a bubble, and it also took place during a relative downtime in terms of the prevalence of the virus; it wasn’t gone, of course, just not as “surging” as it is now.
