The Bruins announced today during the newsdump hour that they've returned Max Talbot to Providence. This bodes well for Frank Vatrano's chances in the lineup for a while.
Let's hope he doesn't turn into Jordan Caron 2.0. (Caron scored a goal in his 2nd, 4th, and 7th NHL game. Then not again over the next 24.)
The other possibility is that this means Pastrnak is ready to go for Thursday, which would be quite exciting.
The third possibility is that he was sent down to preserved his "waived" status. The CBA states that a player doesn't need new waivers if:
The Player has not played in ten (10) or more NHL Games cumulative since Regular Waivers on him were last cleared, and more than thirty (30) days cumulative on an NHL roster have not passed since Regular Waivers on him were last cleared.
