The Bruins announced their 35-player roster for their 2024 Development Camp on Sunday evening, with one NHLer headlining Boston’s latest crop of top talent set to skate at Warrior Ice Arena.
In a somewhat surprising move, Matthew Poitras will take part in Boston’s latest Development Camp, which will run from July 1 – July 4 at Warrior Ice Arena.
While Development Camp is usually reserved for recent draft picks and other prospects years away from realistically logging NHL reps, Poitras cut his teeth with the Bruins during the 2023-24 campaign.
At just 19 years old, Poitras won a roster spot with Boston thanks to a stellar training camp and preseason last fall — with the playmaking pivot scoring five goals and 15 points over 35 games with Boston in his rookie season.
