The Toronto Maple Leafs issued a statement Monday evening following a deadly incident in Toronto. Nine people were killed and 16 injured when a rented van jumped onto a crowded sidewalk, 10 miles from the Air Canada Centre.
“To our city, our people and all those affected by today’s tragic events, our thoughts and prayers are with you,” the team wrote in a tweet.
