Jeremy Smith will not be jumping down to the ECHL or a league equivalent. He will be staying in the AHL for further seasoning.
However...he won't be doing it in the Bruins system.
The Bruins announced earlier this evening that Jeremy Smith would in fact be assigned to play for the Iowa Wild, the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild. He boasts in AHL play an impressive line of a .933% SV% and 2.05 GAA from last year. Not bad for a backup.
