Bruins defenseman Jarred Tinordi left tonight’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins with what looked like a pretty clear concussion, though the team termed it an “upper-body injury.”
Tinordi was injured when he crashed violently into the boards after a neutral zone hit by Pittsburgh’s Brandon Tanev.
Tanev was given a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.
As the referees are allowed to do now, they reviewed the major penalty and upheld both that call and the game misconduct.
The Bruins failed to score on what was a pretty terrible ensuing power play.
