FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Montreal Canadiens are pressuring the Boston Bruins and lead 1-0 after the first period at the 2016 NHL Winter Classic.
Here are a few quick points from the opening 20 minutes:
In his first game since Nov. 22, the Canadiens’ Brendan Gallagher hasn’t skipped a beat. He’s already bugging the heck out of the Bruins and nearly had his head taken off by Bruins captain Zdeno Chara after making contact with Tuukka Rask.
Speaking of physicality, Bruins’ Matt Beleskey has brought that aspect to his game today. Already, he has five hits, including a couple of big ones.
