Yesterday, the NWHL released on twitter what the top-ten highest selling NWHL jerseys were. Unsurprisingly, especially in a 4-team league, the Boston Pride had two players in the list - Hilary Knight at #2 and Kelsie Fralick at #9. Today's Slapshot collected the league's tweet countdown.
Hilary Knight is sort of a no-brainer. She's the most famous American women's hockey player, probably. She gets featured on ESPN regularly. The only player in the league that's sold more jerseys is Japanese sensation Nana Fujimoto. Knight's fame is not unwarranted. She's been a big part of USA hockey for many years, and her play in the CWHL and NWHL has been exemplary.
