After leaving the Bruins following the 2015 season, Daniel Paille has bounced around a bit. He had AHL stints with the Hartford Wolf Pack and Rockford Ice Hogs and a cup of coffee with the New York Rangers in 2016.
He found a home in Europe, however, signing with Brynas of the Swedish Hockey League. Paille had a great season for the Swedish side last year, scoring 17 goals and adding 18 assists in 65 games.
Paille is still over there now, and his Brynas side was playing Adler Mannheim of the German league in a Champions Hockey League game; Brynas was up 2-1 in the game and 5-3 on aggregate goals in the last minute of the game when Paille was the victim of a brutal, blindside hit by Thomas Larkin.
