There is an interesting (and ugly) rumor floating around the Boston media. The rumor suggests that Boston Bruins forward Jimmy Hayes had an active role in talking Jimmy Vesey out of signing with the Black and Gold. The prospect of an active-contract player trying to talk someone out of playing for their team(and making an immediate positive impact) is a disturbing thought.
Last season, Jimmy Hayes earned the media’s wrath (in this case, rightly so) for having an under-achieving season. His 29 point (13 goal) season was considered to be underwhelming. Earning the wrath of the Boston media is a bad thing for a professional athlete.
