David Pastrnak day to day following elbow procedure

It appears that “Popeye elbow” has caught on with the Boston Bruins in 2016-17.

A month after David Backes underwent the same procedure, David Pastrnak joined his fellow teammate as the two Black and Gold members to remove an olecranon bursa. The Bruins’ leading goal-scorer is considered day to day and will likely miss the next two games against the Kings (Sunday) and Islanders (Tuesday) – both at TD Garden.

“David underwent a successful removal of the olecranon bursa from his right elbow on Friday, December 16 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital by Dr. Matthew Liebman,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said in a press release.
