Claude Julien and his staff of assistants will be back behind the Bruins bench next season according to multiple reports, the first of which was from 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Tony Massarotti.
There was little doubt Julien would return, but newly minted general manager Don Sweeney apparently was considering a change even though the coach has a new contract reportedly for three years and $2.5 million per season.
Sweeney has dropped some not-too-subtle hints that he wasn’t entirely happy with Julien’s coaching for a Bruins team which, despite accumulating 96 points, failed to make the playoffs this season.
