Claude Julien sees long future

WILMINGTON — With the rumors of his demise having been debunked last week, Bruins coach Claude Julien met with reporters at Ristuccia Arena yesterday to talk about his future under new general manager Don Sweeney.

Contrary to rampant speculation about him operating on the dreaded “short leash,” Julien believes there is a legitimate future here for him.

“I know a lot of speculations have been made on whether this is temporary or whatever it is,” said Julien, sporting a summertime goatee. “But we’re really committed and determined to take this team and move forward in the right directions.
