This Boston Bruins team is the one that I expected to see before the season started. The first chunk of the schedule featured some games against weaker opponents. But the team spent the first quarter of the season bouncing back-and-forth between good play and bad play.
But after their win on Saturday against the high-powered New York Islanders, the Bruins are in their best stretch of play of the season. The team is 8-2-0 in their last 10 games, and currently sits at 14-9-4, 32 points, 3rd in the Atlantic Division.
It’s no coincidence that the team’s solid play is coincides with the team getting (almost) fully healthy, and the resurgence of Tuukka Rask.
