Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, December 8, that the club has placed forward Joonas Kemppainen on injured reserve with an upper body injury and recalled forward Max Talbot from the Providence Bruins. Talbot will join Boston on Tuesday and will be eligible for Wednesday night’s game against the Canadiens in Montreal.
Kemppainen has appeared in 24 games in his first season with Boston, recording one goal and two assists. Kemppainen notched his first goal and assist in a two-point effort on October 23 against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn.
