Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, October 22, that the club has hired Evan Gold as Director of Legal Affairs for Hockey Operations.
Gold, 35, joins the Boston Bruins after spending the previous eight-plus seasons with the Washington Capitals as a Hockey Operations Assistant. While in the front office with the Capitals, Gold's responsibilities included contract research, salary cap analyses, arbitration research and brief drafting as well as working alongside both the professional and amateur scouting staff.
In his position as Director of Legal Affairs for Hockey Operations, Gold will advise and assist Sweeney with day to day hockey operations, including salary cap analysis, contract negotiations, roster planning, player arbitration and CBA compliance.
