TRAVIS ROY TO DROP PUCK ON 10/12: On Monday, October 12 at the Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning game at TD Garden, the Bruins will host Travis Roy in recognition of the 20th anniversary of Roy’s injury. Before the game, B’s President Cam Neely and General Manager Don Sweeney will sign Roy to a one-day Bruins contract. The Boston Bruins Foundation and Boston Bruins Alumni Association will also be presenting a $50,000 donation to the Travis Roy Foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families. The Travis Roy Foundation was established in 1997 to help spinal cord injury survivors and to fund research into a cure.
