Bruins sign Paul Carey to a two-year contract extension

The Bruins announced today that they’ve signed forward Paul Carey to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Carey, who was acquired from the Ottawa Senators organization earlier this year in exchange for Cody Goloubef, will carry a cap hit of $700,000 at the NHL level.

Carey has been a revelation for the Providence Bruins, recording 16 goals and 7 assists in 23 games with the club. If you include his games in Belleville, Carey’s producing at nearly a point-per-game pace over the entire NHL season.
