The Bruins might be without one of their most promising bottom-six forwards for the final stretch of the regular season — if not longer.
While the Bruins took to the ice at PNC Arena in Raleigh on Thursday morning, rookie winger Justin Brazeau flew back to Boston to undergo further testing.
Brazeau, who has been a pleasant surprise since getting called up to Boston in February, suffered an upper-body injury during the Bruins’ 3-0 road win over the Predators on Tuesday night.
“Brazeau flew home yesterday. He’s seeing doctors today (Thursday),” Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said after morning skate.
