Boston Bruins goalie prospect Malcolm Subban suffered a fractured larynx during a minor league game Saturday night and is in stable condition at Massachusetts General Hospital, the team announced Sunday.
Subban, 22, was struck in the throat by a puck during pregame warm-ups for the AHL's Providence Bruins on Saturday night in Portland, Maine. He was transported to Maine Medical Center and was admitted overnight for observation. He was then transported to Mass General on Sunday for further evaluation.
Subban will be sidelined indefinitely and the team said it would provide additional details when they become available.
