Mother nature had other ideas.
One week after postponing the scheduled Bruins-Panthers contest at TD Garden due to the latest winter storm, the league announced their makeup date for April 8 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket purchases for the originally scheduled contest on Jan. 4 will still be valid for the rescheduled date.
The Celtics, who have a game scheduled with the Atlanta Hawks at the exact same time, will be moved to the afternoon to accompany the Bruins and Panthers, both of whom are playing the night before.
“On behalf of the Boston Bruins I would like to thank Boston Celtics President Rich Gotham, as well as the Celtics organization, Atlanta Hawks, NBA and TD Garden for their flexibility moving the previously scheduled Celtics game on April 8th to a matinee,” Bruins President Cam Neely said in a team statement.
