WILMINGTON — Zdeno Chara may have reached the broken-record stage of his recovery from an upper body injury, but the Bruins captain did look a little more active in yesterday’s practice at Ristuccia Arena. He unleashed a few good slap shots and took some contact that would lead you to believe he is indeed on the verge of a return.
On the other hand, his defense partner for much of the practice was Colin Miller, another scratch from Thursday night’s opener, which doesn’t exactly make a return tonight against the Canadiens seem all that likely.
