Zdeno Chara is 38 years old, he suffered his first major injury this season and did not look himself after returning from that torn posterior collateral ligament in his left knee suffered Oct. 23 that kept him out until Dec. 11.
But while common sense would say things are trending the wrong way for Chara, the Bruins captain said yesterday he fully expects to return to the form he had last season, when he was a Norris Trophy finalist. He finished this season with an even rating, the first time he wasn’t a double-digit plus player since 2006-07 (minus-21), his first campaign with the B’s.
