Never let it be said Brian Ferlin doesn’t know when he messed up.
The second-year pro was talking about limiting his mistakes in training camp when a reporter asked “about the mistakes.”
And the burly winger didn’t even have to hear the rest of the question.
“Calgary, yup,” said Ferlin about his worst moment in his seven-game call-up. “And that was that.”
In that March 5 game at the Garden, Ferlin made a bad neutral-zone turnover that led to a prime Calgary scoring chance. Ferlin did not play again for two weeks and then, after playing one more game, he was sent back to Providence.
