SUNRISE, Fla. — The Bruins did not move their stockpiled first-round draft picks that were acquired in the Dougie Hamilton and Milan Lucic trades to move up in the draft or to get an established NHLer.
Instead, they used all three picks themselves (the two acquired in the trades and their own), and took a couple of players that raised the eyebrows of talent evaluators.
With the 13th overall pick acquired from Los Angeles, the B’s selected Saint John defenseman Jakub Zboril, who went pretty much where he was expected to go.
