WILMINGTON — Chris Bourque is all of 5-foot-8 and 174 pounds. So when the Washington Capitals winger shoved Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, at 6-9 and 255, into the sideboards Thursday night at the Garden, it was a trifle hard to understand how Chara was injured.
But, assuming it was the Bourque play that forced Chara to leave the game with an undisclosed “upper-body” injury, it turned out yesterday that the injury wasn’t too severe.
B’s coach Claude Julien let that be known.
“He’s day-to-day, which is good news for us,” said Julien after practice at Ristuccia Arena.
