Bruins make last second trade for Tommy Wingels official

According to reports, the Boston Bruins have traded a conditional 5th round pick for 29 year old right hand shot center Tommy Wingels. The pick is a 2019 ,as the Bruins gave up their 2018 5th round pick to acquire Drew Stafford. If the Bruins advance past the 1st round, or re-sign Wingels, it becomes a 4th round pick.

The former Shark and current Blackhawk has 7 goals and 5 assists in 57 games played, sporting a -10 to go with it. This move is fairly shocking as the Bruins literally just signed Brian Gionta to a 1 year deal yesterday, Especially when the team has seemingly been committed to a youth movement this season up until the past week when Don Sweeney traded young players and picks for a 30 year old defenseman (Holden), a 33 year old winger (Nash), signed a 39 year old depth forward (Gionta) and has now reportedly signed another older forward in Wingels.
