Who can blame them after the Red Sox clinched their fourth World Series in the last 15 years following their Game 5 clincher in Los Angeles less than 24 hours ago?
“I think it’s great. I’m happy for them; they had a great season,” head coach Bruce Cassidy said during the opening remarks of his daily press conference. “They were the best team, they played like it [all year long] and they deserve it.”
The Bruins hardly had a Sox-like performance against the Montreal Canadiens. But the Sox run was a fine distraction in their first practice since Saturday night’s performance.
