Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who has been sidelined since Oct. 18 with a concussion, told reporters Saturday that his “brain is out of shape.”
McAvoy, speaking in between periods as the Bruins hosted the Red Wings, said there’s no timetable for his return. He noted this is his first concussion, adding that he’s “progressing well” but is still taking it day-by-day.

While McAvoy acknowledged the process has been frustrating, he also said it’s been “educational.
