BOSTON, MA – Last week the Boston Bruins made a historic trip to visit Fort Bragg in North Carolina, becoming the first NHL team to take a USO-sponsored tour of a U.S. Military Base. Fort Bragg is the nation’s largest military base by population (52,000 soldiers) and second-largest by size (160,000 acres). With the guidance of the USO of North Carolina, Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller and former Bruins blueliner Hal Gill and goalie Andrew Raycroft toured the facilities and met with many of the base’s service men and women.
During their stay, the Bruins had the opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the field.
