Bruins alumni to play in a fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund

While the modern Bruins are returning to action Friday night against the Winnipeg Jets, the old Bruins are preparing for a big game of their own.

The Bruins alumni will play a charity game on Saturday afternoon against the Dana-Farber Rink Rats, a team made up of Dana-Farber doctors, nurses, researchers, and stuff.

The alums have played a few games like this over the years, and it’s always for a great cause: raising funds to support cancer care, research, and more at Dana-Farber.

“We are thrilled to have Bruins alumni join us once again this year to help find cure for cancer,” said David Read, Vice President of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber in a statement.
