He had surgery on Feb. 8 at Mass Eye & Ear Hospital in Boston.
"He is doing well and has been released from the hospital," a team statement read. "While there is no definitive timetable for his return at this time, he is expected to be out a minimum of eight weeks."
Subban, 22, was struck in the throat by a puck Saturday during pregame warm-ups for the Providence Bruins in Portland, Maine. He was transported to Maine Medical Center and was admitted overnight for observation. On Sunday, he was transported by rescue to Mass General for further evaluation and ultimately needed surgery to repair his fractured larynx.
