Bruins forward Brad Marchand scored a hat trick in the third period Monday night, including the winning goal of Boston's 6-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks, to launch himself into a tie for the NHL goals lead.
Marchand has equaled Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby with 35 goals on the season.
Loathed by Vancouver fans since the 2011 Stanley Cup finals that the Bruins won in Game 7 at Rogers Arena, Marchand was booed every time he touched the puck -- jeers that only added to his motivation.
