Whilst he would require a seven point night to match the most by a Boston Bruins defeseman across the whole of the post-season (Ray Bourque‘s 25 points in 1991), Torey Krug could move alongside Bobby Orr with 7 points in the Stanley Cup Final.
Orr accomplished the feat in the losing effort to the Philadelphia Flyers in 1974 and holds the franchise record of 8 points in the 1972 series against the New York Rangers.
Perhaps the more surprising part of all of this is that Torey Krug rates only as a secondary mention when we start discussing nominees for the Conn Smythe Trophy.
