The Boston Bruins faced a home-and-home with the Buffalo Sabres after the holiday break. This was a great chance for Boston to bank some points and extend its lead in the Atlantic Division.
The Bruins won the first game in Buffalo courtesy of a Jaroslav Halak shutout. Then, Boston followed that up with a 3-2 victory on Sunday night to take all four points.
Game recap: Bruins vs Sabres
Like we saw on Friday night, the Bruins got on the board first in the latter half of the first period. Patrice Bergeron made a great defensive play to send Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak on a two-on-one.
